Former Advisor to Obama’s Transition Team Defeated In Maryland Election

Saafir Rabb was defeated in the Democratic primary election for Maryland’s 7th Congressional District on June 2, 2020.

Rabb also ran in the special election to represent Maryland’s 7th Congressional District. He was defeated in the Democratic primary on February 4, 2020.

Rabb served as an advisor to President Barack Obama’s transition team and is currently a board member with the Coalition for Black Excellence and Words Beats and Life.

Rabb was endorsed by Emgage Action, a political organization aimed at increasing the number of muslims serving in government.
