Muslim Woman Running For Congress In Georgia

Nabilah Islam is a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Georgia, District 7.

Islam, a 29-year-old muslim woman, is the daughter of Bangladeshi immigrants.

Islam worked as the Deputy Southern States Finance Director for Hillary for America, she served as the Finance Director for the Florida Democratic Party.

Islam is endorsed by Occupy Democrats.

Islam will face at least 6 other candidates in the Democratic primary election on May 19, 2020.

UPDATE: Nabilah Islam was defeated in the Democratic primary election.
