Muslim man running for California State Senate

City of Bell Councilmember and former Mayor, Ali Saleh is running for California State Senate in District 33. Saleh is running in the primary special election on March 26, 2019. The general special election is June 4, 2019. Saleh was a candidate for California State Senate in 2018 but was defeated.

Saleh is the son of parents from Lebanon.

Saleh is an active member of his local mosque.

If elected, Saleh will be the first person of Lebanese decent and the first muslim to serve in the California legislature.
