Ammar Campa-Najjar, a muslim man, is running for US Representative for California District 50.

According to Wikipedia:

During the Obama Administration, Campa-Najjar served in the Labor Department’s Office of Public Affairs for the Employment and Training Administration. He was tasked with reading and helping select the 10 letters that President Obama would read each day.

Campa-Najjar has advocated enhanced vetting and the empowerment of moderate Muslims to help end terrorism. He has advocated for apprenticeship programs that pay people as they learn, for example the Registered Apprenticeship job training initiative, which has bipartisan support.

On Facebook, Campa-Najjar posted a photo of Hillary Clinton and himself.

He also posted a photo of President Trump and himself. But Campa-Najjar made it clear he is no fan of President Trump. Along with the photo Campa-Najjar wrote:

So here’s the fact: I had to meet with all the presidential candidates in 2015, it was my job as the person who led a presidential forum series put on by an organization I worked for…..

…It was my job to meet with Hillary, Bernie, Kasich, O’malley and yes, Trump. And if he somehow manages to survive past 2019 when I’m sworn in, I’ll confront him again. Because that’s your job as a member of Congress, to put checks on the executive branch and pass legislation on behalf of the American people. The notion that I support Trump is insane and insulting. I’m what his administration has spent the past year attacking…

…I’ve served in Washington, confronted Trump and lived to tell it.
