Muslim Woman Elected in Delaware

Madinah Wilson-Anton was elected to the Delaware House of Representatives to represent District 26 on November 3, 2020.

Wilson-Anton defeated Republican Timothy Conrad in the general election. She received 71.6 % (6,933) of the votes, while Conrad received just 28.4% (2,754) of the votes.

In the Democratic primary election, Wilson-Anton defeated 11-term incumbent John Viola by only 43 votes.

Wilson-Anton is the first muslim woman elected to the Delaware House of Representatives.
