Muslim Convert Defeated in Arizona Election

Deedra Abboud, a muslim convert from Arkansas, was defeated in the election for Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to represent District 2 in Arizona.

Abboud was defeated by Republican Steve Chucri. Chucri received 60.3% of the votes, while Abboud received 39.7% of the votes.

Abboud previously worked for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) & the Muslim American Society (MAS). She served as director for the Arizona chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-AZ) from 2001 to 2005. She was director of the Arizona chapter of the Muslim American Society’s (MAS) Freedom Foundation from 2005 to 2009.

  1. Ah well there is still hope for the USA not becoming a Sharia Law nation. In spite of questionable voting the Muslims are still held at bay. Congtaulations but be alert as some soldiers of Allah are worming their way in to the body politic.
