Somali Refugee Elected To City Council in Minnesota

Nadia Mohamad was elected to the city council in St. Louis Park, Minnesota on Nov. 5th 2019.

Mohamad is a former refugee from Somalia, who came to the United States when she was ten years old. She is the first Somali immigrant to serve on the St. Louis Park City Council.

Mohamad won the Nov. 5th general election with 63% of the vote.
