  1. While I’m not very happy that individuals that by their religious faith cannot give true allegiance to our country, nor “perverse, protect, and defend” the U.S. Constitution due to a conflict with Shari’ah Law, I have no issue with they swearing their oath of the Qurʼān.

The insistence of some that they “need” to do this on a Christian Bible is nonsensical, as it has no meaning to a Muslim. They might as well use the White Pages of their jurisdiction.

For us as Christians, making this oath on a Bible has meaning, as we believe that this Book contains are the Words of God. That is what it makes it holy to us. A Muslim does not share that belief, so any oath sworn on our holy book has no meaning to them.

I would actually say that they CANNOT use a Christian Bible, and MUST use a Qurʼān.
