A suspected drunk driver is facing multiple charges after crashing into a deputy’s patrol vehicle in Columbus, Ohio.
The incident was caught on dash cam footage, showing the driver driving straight towards the officer in the wrong lane. The officer stopped his patrol vehicle and turned on his lights. The driver hit the police officer’s patrol vehicle head on.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office tweeted the footage the crash and wrote:
This video is from the dash cam of an FCSO patrol cruiser taken this morning @ approx. 12:30 a.m. Thankfully,no one was injured,but the driver was arrested on OVI & other traffic charges. It is another example of why we cannot emphasize more clearly: If you drink, don’t drive!
