Shortly after news broke that a woman had been arrested in the connection with the homicide of former Arkansas State Senator Linda Collins-Smith, it was revealed that the woman arrested, Rebecca Lynn O’Donnell worked on Collins-Smith’s re-election campaign.

Journalist Winnie Wright wrote on Twitter that the link between O’Donnell and Collins-Smith is Collins-Smith’s campaign.

Wright wrote:

Reporter, Mitchell McCoy wrote on Twitter that O’Donnell updated her profile photo to a photo of herself and Collins-Smith days after the homicide.

McCoy wrote:
