Muslim Woman Defeated in Democratic Primary Election For Virginia State Senate
Yasmine Taeb has been defeated in the Democratic Primary Election for Virginia State Senate, District 35.
Taeb was endorsed by Emgage Action, an organization aimed at getting muslims elected into the U.S. Government, at all levels.
According to the Virginia Department of Elections website, Taeb received 6,940 / 45.74% votes, while her opponent, Richard L. Saslaw, received 7,380 / 48.64% votes.
