Farrakhan Loving Mayor Up For Re-Election
Marcus Muhammad, Mayor of Benton Harbor in Michigan, is up for re-election on August 6th 2019. Muhammad was first elected as Mayor in 2015.
According to reports, Muhammad got his start in politics when he was appointed to the Planning Commission by Mayor Wilce Cooke. He was then elected to the same position in 2009. Next, Muhammad was elected to the city council, where he served for six years, before being elected Mayor.
Muhammad, who was known as Marcus Singer before converting to islam, is a student minister for the local Nation of Islam. Muhammad was introduced to islam when he was 15-years-old and converted while in college, after buying a Final Call newspaper, a publication founded by Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan.
Unsurprisingly, Muhammad is a huge fan of Farrakhan. Muhammad has several posts on social media praising Farrakhan dating back to 2011, including a photo of himself and Farrakhan.

I love The Mayor. He’s for the people. What you’re saying now, the people who voted him in already knew this, so what’s next?
