Today, the Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel released a statement celebrating Ramadan.

In the statement, McDaniel wrote:

We wish everyone observing the holy month of Ramadan a blessed period of prayer, reflection, and spiritual discipline. We are inspired by our friends in the Muslim-American community as they begin this time of fasting and contemplation. May all Americans adopt the same spirit of charity and prayer that defines this holy month.
