CNN reporter, Manu Raju‏, attempted to question Ilhan Omar about President Trump calling for her resignation and Omar’s response to President Trump.

After Omar made anti-Semitic comments, President Trump called for her resignation.

In a cabinet meeting, President Trump stated:

Anti-Semitism has no place in the United States Congress. Congressman Omar, it’s terrible what she said and I think she should either resign from Congress or she should certainly resign from the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

What she said is so deep-seeded in her heart that her lame apology, and that’s what it was, it was lame, and she didn’t mean a word of it, was just not appropriate.

I think she should resign from congress frankly, but at a minimum she shouldn’t be on committees and certainly that committee.

Vice President Mike Pence also spoke out against Ilhan Omar. 

On Twitter, VP Pence wrote:

@IlhanMN tweets were a disgrace & her apology was inadequate. Anti-Semitism has no place in the United States Congress, much less the Foreign Affairs Committee. Those who engage in anti-Semitic tropes should not just be denounced, they should face consequences for their words.

Vice President Mike Pence also spoke out against Omar during an interview with the media. 

CNN reporter, Manu Raju caught up with Omar and asked her: 

The President said that you should resign and the Vice President said you should be held accountable for your views can you respond to that?

Omar responded with:

No thank you.

Moments later, Manu Raju asked Omar about her response to President Trump asking her to resign. 

After calling for her resignation, Omar tweeted to President Trump stating:

Hi @realDonaldTrump–

You have trafficked in hate your whole life—against Jews, Muslims, Indigenous, immigrants, black people and more. I learned from people impacted by my words. When will you?

Manu Raju begin to ask Omar: 

This morning you said that the President….

Omar rudely interrupted Raju, asking him:

Are you serious? What is wrong with you?

Raju replied:

I’m asking about your tweet. You had a tweet saying that the President trafficked in hate.

Omar rudely replied:

yes I tweeted..there’s a response, you can run that. Have a nice day.

Later, Raju took to Twitter and wrote:

Rep. Ilhan Omar in no mood to talk about her controversies this week. First, she said: “No thank you” when asked to comment on Trump saying she should resign. Second time I saw her, she yelled: “Are you serious?” when I tried to question her.

He followed up with another tweet stating:

Asked about her tweet this AM attacking Trump for trafficking in hate, she angrily said: “Yes I tweeted, and there’s a response. You can run that. Have a nice day.” And she walked into a meeting

In another tweet, Raju wrote:

Before I even got my question out the second time I saw her, Ilhan Omar angrily said: “Are you serious? What’s wrong with you.”
