In a video posted to Twitter, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is seen talking to a group of children about the upcoming election. Ocasio-Cortez was accompanied with Jumaane Williams, Candidate for Lieutenant Governor of New York.
Ocasio-Cortez tells the children, “I’m the Democratic nominee out here for Congress so I’m going to go to D.C., and we’re going to be fighting Trump.”
Ocasio-Cortez goes onto tell the children “This is what we need to do: when you go back home, you talk to your mom, your dad, your aunt, grandma, sisters, anybody over the age of 18 that can vote — first you need to ask your parents to vote because if they don’t vote, then we can’t kick out Trump,”
It is unclear if this took place at a park or school but it is pretty clear that Ocasio-Cortez did not have the permission of the parents to speak to these children, nor permission to film and upload the video to social media.
Newsflash Alexandria, it’s creepy af to approach other ppl’s kids, film them and then post it to social media.
Stay away from children!
