Michelle Obama Neighborhood Library Has Drag Queen Story Time

The Michelle Obama Neighborhood Library, in Long Beach, Ca. invited a drag queen who goes by the name Xochi Mochi, to read to children during story time. Xochi is a male who identifies as a female, killer clown from outer space. Yes, I’m serious. After reading through a blog about Xochi, it is very clear it has some serious issues. This is the last thing I would expect to see reading to children at the library.

On a Facebook event page for the story reading, it read:

Join the Michelle Obama Neighborhood Library for a celebration of LGBTQ History Month! All ages welcome!

Celebration will include: Drag Queen Story Hour featuring Xochi Mochi at 12pm, a community art hour at 1:00 p.m., and an LGBTQ History Timeline Workshop starting at 2:00 p.m.

Xochi posted to her Instagram about story time and wrote:

I got to read to the children today and it was one of the best experiences I’ve been given as a drag queen. It’s so important to have representation and normalize all the letters in LGBTQIA+ in everyday lives. I saw so many excited faces it filled my heart with so much joy and hope to come back again soon! Thanks again to everybody who made this opportunity a reality and make such a successful LGBT event #🏳️‍🌈#Repost @lbcitylibrary

The Long Beach Public Library posted to Facebook saying:

“Thank you to the families who joined us at #LBPL for a special Drag Queen Storytime with guest artist, Xochi Mochi, celebrating LGBTQ History Month!”

It’s bad enough that people think they can identify as whatever they chose, even a killer clown from outer space, but now we are having it taught to our children. It’s a scary time when this type of behavior is being praised, and children are being taught that this is ok.

UPDATE: Since writing this article, I have came across more info on Xochi Mochi. While looking at Xochi’s Twitter account, I came across somewhat reveling photos of him. In one of the tweets he let fans know that he will be posting even more revealing photos to his Tumblr…When he said revealing, he wasn’t lying. I only viewed his Tumblr for a minute or two, too be honest, I can’t believe I survived that long. There are photos and videos of gay porn all over his page! I am not clear if Xochi himself is in the videos or photos. But I seen things I never wanted to see, and know things I have no need to know. I’ll spare you the details. Just know, this is not someone who should be reading to children at a public library! In fact, I’d say Xochi should be locked away and kept far away from children!
