Back in February Lars Maischak, a Professor at Fresno State tweeted threats towards President Trump and Republicans.
Maischak posted the following three tweets:
“To save American democracy, Trump must hang. The sooner and the higher, the better. #TheResistance #DeathToFascism”
“#TheResistance Has anyone started soliciting money and design drafts for a monument honoring the Trump assassin, yet?”
“#TheResistance #ethniccleansing Justice = The execution of two Republicans for each deported immigrant.”
The tweets angered many people who demanded he be fired. In April Maischak was placed on leave. And yesterday Fresno State President Doctor Joseph Castro made an announcement that Maischalk will not be returning to Fresno State.
In a statement posted on the Fresno State website President Castro stated:
“I wanted to share with you that Dr. Lars Maischak, Fresno State History lecturer, will not be teaching this fall. In accordance with California State University, Fresno’s contractual obligation, Dr. Maischak has been assigned to convert two courses to an online format which meets his unit requirement per the faculty collective bargaining unit agreement. These courses will adhere to California State University’s Quality of Online Learning and Teaching Standards. This contractual assignment concludes December 20, 2017.”
