Text Messages Between Michelle Carter & Conrad Roy

Michelle Carter is the 18 year old woman who pressured her boyfriend for weeks to commit suicide. Many times Conrad Roy showed second thoughts about taking his own life, but Michelle was always there through texts to reassure him it was the right thing to do. Michelle not only talked Conrad into killing himself, but she also told him how to do it and when. Carter was even on the phone with Conrad when he died, and stayed on the phone for 20 minuets after. Michelle Carter will be sentenced on August 3rd 2017. She faces a sentence of probation to 20 years in prison

  1. This is a sad story and it appears that if someone is blamed then all is well but that is far from the truth. It is called suicide are we now going to start looking for someone to blame for every case of suicide

    1. No. In this case though, I agree that she should be sentenced. I understand she didn’t kill him, but if she wasn’t trying to convince him to do it, I doubt he would of done it. He obviously started second guessing wanting to kill himself. Then you see her making him promise to do it. That right there was the ice breaker. Why would make someone promise to end their life? Then she asks did he delete the messages and then have the audacity to say he is scaring her and she loves him. No, that’s not love. That my friend is manipulation at it’s finest. In my personal opinion, I would have given her the death penalty because of it. Obviously she has no regards for someones else life.
