Couple’s Death Ruled as Murder-Suicide, but Family Says Otherwise

Jonathan Pena and Adriana Diaz, a couple from Visalia, were found dead in their home. Police are ruling it a murder-suicide, but family members of both victims are saying it was murder possibly by an intruder, or Adriana’s ex.

According to reports, Jonathon’s brother said “He loved life. He was happy. He had found her and they were happy.”

Adriana’s mother wants the police to continue to investigate the case. According to another report, Gomez said “She was involved in an abusive relationship– a prior abusive relationship and that person couldn’t let go of her and when they told me she died I took a deep a breath and the first thing that came out of mouth was his name.”

ABC30 reports “As Visalia Police continue to investigate, both families are left in shock. For now they said it is Diaz’s three little kids and Pena’s son that they are worried most about.”

If anyone has information on this case please contact Visalia Police Department at 559-734-8116 or Crime Stoppers at 559-498-7867
