Judge Refuses to Lower Bail for Woman Who Killed Her Sister in Crash While Live Streaming on Instagram

Obdulia Sanchez, the woman who was driving under the influence and live streamed the crash that killed her sister, appeared in court today. Her public defender requested her bail be lowered from $560,000 to $200,000, but the judge denied his request. Obdulia’s father spoke on behalf of her, saying he wants her home. Obdulia pleaded not guilty not Wednesday.

According to reports, “Court documents say the day of crash Sanchez cursed the officers out, spit at them, kicked an EMT in the face when being transported to the hospital and even said Prop 57 would help her get released early.”

Sanchez will be back in court on Aug. 11th.
