18 Year Old Arrested After Live streaming Crash That killed Her Sister
On Friday 18 year old Obdulia Sanchez was driving near Los Banos, CA when she crashed and killed her 14 year old sister. Reports say Sanchez was under the influence at the time of the crash. Sanchez was also live streaming on Instagram while rapping along with the music and throwing up what looked to be gang signs at the time of the crash. It was clear from the video Sanchez was being reckless and paying more attention to her phone than the road.
During the crash 14 year old Jacqueline Sanchez was ejected from the car. Instead of turning off the live stream and calling 911, Obdulia continued to live stream, showing her sister’s dead body. Obdulia can be heard in the video saying:
“If I go to fuckin’ jail for life you already know why”
This is when she zooms in on her sisters dead body. She then says:
“my sister is fucking dying, look I fucking love my sister to death, I don’t give a fuck”
At the same time another girl who was also in the car, but survived the wreck is seen trying to flag cars down to get help.
Obdulia continues on to say:
“This is the last thing I wanted to happen to us, but it just did.”
Reports say Obdulia became violent with police one they arrived, and kept screaming that she killed her sister. Sanchez is being held at Merced County Jail on charges of vehicular manslaughter while under the influence and DUI.
